We are urgently seeking a candidate for a Regional Sales Manager – Food Manufacturing (B2B / Factory Accounts) position in Cape Town.

The ideal candidate should have a BSc in Science, Degree in Food Technology or a BCom in Business, with 5 or more years of experience in commercial or technical sales. This role requires extensive regional traveling, and the candidate must be willing and able to travel extensively as required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree in Food Technology, BSc in Science or BCom in Business

Experience

• 5 or more years’ experience in sales preferably in FMCG / Commercial + experience in the handling of key accounts.

• Driver’s licence and travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan fortnightly sales call schedules to ensure a value-added approach.
• Learn and apply client classifications.
• Building market share across all categories.
• Drive and achieve volumes / budget across all categories.
• Build on and research product and industry knowledge.
• Work on promotional activity as per standards.
• Build solid long standing client relationships.
• Absolute focus on customer and service.
• Weekly sales reports.
• Proactively look for new business and explore opportunities in the market.
• Provide information on market trends as required.
• Sales administration.
• Ensure deliveries are carried out to company standards.
• Develop new relationships through field visits.
• Develop agreements for factory accounts.
• Review customer accounts monthly to identify and solve queries and outstanding matters
