My client is in Bellville is looking for an experienced coffee shop manager to be in charge of the business.

Duties and responsibilities

• Opening and closing of store
• Scheduling of staff and handling of all staffing issues
• Placing orders, managing of stock and ordering of new stock
• Receiving of stock and handling of the paperwork
• Cashing up of staff at the end of each shift
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Ensuring that baking tools, utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized
• Developing and implementing advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers
• Appraising staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor
• performance
• Training staff to produce high-quality bakery items while following proper food handling procedures
• Strategically arranging bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases
• Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Grade12 and at least 2 years experience as a Coffee shop manager working in a similar environment
• Own transport essential
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Excellent management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance
• Friendly and honest

This position requires shift work from 7am to 10pm
