Our client is looking for a Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join the growing Engineering concern.

Responsibilities:

• Installation & Assembly: Assemble, install, and align machinery and components according to technical drawings and blueprints.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Fabrication: Use tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate or modify metal components.
• Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and fix faulty machinery.
• Precision Work: Measure and mark out materials using precision tools.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including using protective clothing and reporting hazards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Completed mechanical trade apprenticeship or Certificate III in Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Equipment Knowledge: Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Problem-Solving: Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
