Our client specializing in earthmoving equipment is looking for a diligent individual who is willing to grow with their company

Main Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our welding shop, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Management of a team of welders, organizing workflow, and maintaining a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines
  • Monitor progress and address any issues that may arise during the welding process
  • Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure the highest welding standards are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed work to identify and rectify any defects.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of welding equipment
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of welding consumables and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed projects, work hours, and materials used
  • Generate reports on team performance, project status, and any relevant metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.

Additional Specifications

  • Must have experience on the repair of Heavy Earthmoving Equipment and Buckets.
  • Ability to perform Aluminium and Tig Welding.
  • Must be able to draft and read drawings.
  • Knowledge of a variety of suppliers.

 Essential Requirements

  • Qualification : Relevant Welding Qualification (Red Seal)
  • Experience : Relevant practical position experience as a Welding Supervisor or similar leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques and equipment

Salary R 20 000 – R 50 000 CTC per month depending on experience
