Our client urgently requires the expertise of a Fleet Controller for their Logistics & Cold Stores.

You will report directly to the Operations and Logistics Director & Cold Store Manager.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years managing a fleet of trucks and trailers.
  • Experience in working on a cloud-based fleet management system.
  • Computer literate (proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite).
  • Administrative experience.
  • Understanding of trucks & parts and tracker systems.
  • Dealing with drivers.
  • Tracker experience.
  • Driver’s license.

Main Duties/Key Results Areas:

  • Fleet Management.
  • Giving drivers instructions.
  • Completing drivers trip sheets.
  • Checking drivers trip sheets.
  • Checking time sheets.
  • Maintaining fleet.
  • Complete information on fleet report.
  • Maintain departmental compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure departmental adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage other employees.
  • Schedule, route, maintain, and track transport vehicles.
  • Negotiate with suppliers.
  • Employed in a position of trust as may receive cash payments from cash customers from time to time.
  • Resolve disputes.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of operations.
  • Implement and enforce transportation scheduling and policy changes.
  • All other tasks and related duties as expected from the employer from time to time
