Our client urgently requires the expertise of a Fleet Controller for their Logistics & Cold Stores.
You will report directly to the Operations and Logistics Director & Cold Store Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years managing a fleet of trucks and trailers.
- Experience in working on a cloud-based fleet management system.
- Computer literate (proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite).
- Administrative experience.
- Understanding of trucks & parts and tracker systems.
- Dealing with drivers.
- Tracker experience.
- Driver’s license.

Main Duties/Key Results Areas:
- Fleet Management.
- Giving drivers instructions.
- Completing drivers trip sheets.
- Checking drivers trip sheets.
- Checking time sheets.
- Maintaining fleet.
- Complete information on fleet report.
- Maintain departmental compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure departmental adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage other employees.
- Schedule, route, maintain, and track transport vehicles.
- Negotiate with suppliers.
- Employed in a position of trust as may receive cash payments from cash customers from time to time.
- Resolve disputes.
- Analyse the effectiveness of operations.
- Implement and enforce transportation scheduling and policy changes.
- All other tasks and related duties as expected from the employer from time to time
