PURPOSE OF JOB:        

TO MANAGE, MAINTAIN, UPGRADE AND CONTINUALLY GROW MY SALES PORTFOLIO.

 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

  • Understand, maintain and adhere to the quality management system
  • Work in harmony with co-workers.
  • Work overtime when required
  • Adhere to Company documentation
  • Work in a cost-effective manner
  • Housekeeping standards to be maintained and adhered to
  • Comply with code of ethics
  • Under special circumstances you maybe required by management to complete tasks that fall outside your daily activities but still relate to your job scope
  • Clean and maintain workplace daily
  • Notify Managers / Supervisors telephonically the same day by 08H00 if off sick
  • All leave / time off to be applied for timeously and subject to management approval.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

1.     Establish and Maintaining relationships with customers

Ø  Contact clients on a regular basis to assess needs & discuss new Company Telecommunications offerings

Ø  Compile regular cost exercises & needs analysis

Ø  Record all competitor devices for future upgrades on Inform

Ø  Ensure clients are trained on Company Equip.

Ø  Resolve customer problems e.g. Credit queries or service

Ø  Ensure all client information is accurate & up to date on Inform

Ø  Meet or exceed all targets set as per Boost

 

2.     New Business Sales

Ø  Cold calling on prospective customers

Ø  Log all cold calls on Inform with competitor info

Ø  Prepare & follow-up on quotes

Ø  Prepare and submit all paperwork as per new client requirements to the customer

 

Ø  On completion submit all documentation to the Sales Coordinator

Ø  Ensure installation and training is arranged

Ø  Meet & attempt to exceed all new business targets

 

3.     Upgrade Existing Customer

Ø  Assess existing situation, current needs & new opportunities for business

Ø  Propose cost effective solution if necessary

Ø  Prepare & follow-up on quotes

Ø  Prepare & submit all paperwork as per existing client requirements to customer

Ø  On completion submit to the Sales Coordinator

Ø  Ensure installation and training is arranged

Ø  Log all opportunities, visits & customer updates on Inform

Ø  Meet & exceed all upgrade targets

 

4.     Training

Ø  Training to be arranged and carried out after installation on all aspects of the device

Ø  Demonstrate on all features and functions of units

Ø  Highlight key performance areas – Duplex / sorting/ combine / hold print

Ø  Highlight features that will save money and time – PC faxing / Company fax / print to document server

 

5.     Other

Ø  Dress Code: Men – suit and tie and Ladies – Business Wear

Ø  Inform – maintenance – see Inform rules

Ø  PRO for company

Ø  Access to AS400 for Customer Data base if required

Ø  To attend ongoing training courses as and when required

Ø  To attend regular meetings as and when required

Ø  To achieve targets set by Management

Ø  To complete the Linc Exams online as per targets set

Ø  To attend customer & company functions as required
