Job Overview
National leading food service provider, specializing in frozen foods and chilled products Is looking for a Cluster Manager to join their team.
Achieving business goals and revenue targets. Overseeing cluster operations, managing budgets, and managing performance objectives for Retail Managers. Recruiting, training, and supporting Retail Mangers, Assistant Retail Managers and store staff. Implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans. Evaluating and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective. Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed. Dealing with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions
Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to:)
VISIT SCHEDULE
- Setup a visit schedule ensuring coverage of Cluster stores based on operational requirements.
- Complete and submit the Cluster Store Visit form.
- Refer any Issues / Differences / Discrepancies to relevant Retail Unit.
Store Visit to cover the following Key Performance and Focus areas:
REPORTING & FINANCE
- Turnover / Targets / %GP / KPI’s.
- Management Accounts.
- Manage Budget vs Expenses.
- Implement Expense Authority guidelines.
- Refer any Issues / Differences / Discrepancies to National Retail Manager.
STOCK CONTROL
- Stock Control Percentage to be less than 0,25% of turnover
- Stock Rotation / Damages / Expired Stock / SUB Codes / Negatives
- Daily stock counts, as per schedule must be correctly counted and reported.
- Audit GRV’s / Recons / Receiving
- Perform Cluster Manager Counts
- Manage Store Stock levels within Cluster – Over / Under / Out of stocks
- Manage and perform preparations and Stock Take within the Cluster
- Refer any Issues / differences / discrepancies to Retail Stock Manager or Procurement
CASH HANDLING
- Managers float count
- Audit cashiers and cash handling protocol
- Ensure Cash-up procedure is correct
- Perform random audits on Cashiers Overs / Unders
- Refer any Issues / differences / discrepancies to Internal Auditor
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Manage store labour according to Staff Matrix and retail requirements
- Identify staff development needs and develop them accordingly
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as required
- Ensure that all HR Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Ensure that correct procedures are followed when dealing with HR issues
- Assist Retail Manager with staff day off / leave planning
- Arrange any staff rotation between branches in line with operational requirements
- Refer any Issues / differences / discrepancies to HR.
SHOP
- Manage overall store look and maintenance
- Audit following procedures and checks – Health and Safety, Covid checks, Freezer/Chiller temp sheets and Island cleaning schedule.
MARKETING AND SPECIALS
- Control and implement marketing initiatives within Cluster
- Oversee and manage monthly specials ensuring correctness and stock availability
Salary: R 25 000.00 – R 35 000.00
